I was lucky enough to experience the beauty of these amazing creatures up-close on a half day visit with Chiang Mai Elephant Sanctuary. I would highly recommend this company.
If you're a wine drinker and find yourself in southern Australia, you must go to Penfold's and try the Grange.
There's no shortage of tango in Buenos Aires. In addition to a formal show and dinner, you can experience it sitting in Plaza Dorrego in the San Telmo neighborhood. What a treat!
Being a huge fan of both Europe and Christmas, this trip was so much fun for me. The Old Square in Prague is magical at Christmastime. Plus, they have Gluhwein - a mulled wine that will keep you warm while you wander the many stalls.
I'm not much of a hiker, but I wanted to try something different. Although hiking Dragon's Back was more challenging than expected, the views were well worth it. And ending up on a beautiful beach was amazing!
Puebla is such a charming town and is very inexpensive. It's known for its gorgeous Talavera pottery. You will want to buy it all!
Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine is truly breathtaking. If you ever find yourself in this area, you must hike Cadillac Mountain and Jordan Pond, above.
In Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland, you'll find Gap of Dunloe, a beautiful mountain pass that you can walk (recommended!) or you can take a horse and carriage.
Driving the Great Ocean Road in Australia is so much fun, as long as you can master the wrong side of the road AND car! The 12 Apostles pictured above are majestic rocks that rise up from the ocean.
